We were delighted to launch the Trust’s Housing Strategy on Saturday the 9th of November.
The event welcomed John Forbes from the Communities Housing Trust, and Chris Morgan from J M Gilbert Architects. They are both supporting us with the proposed Scarinish housing development, and gave presentations about the plans.
The project is at a very early stage, and there are no guarantees that it will happen – but we are hopeful. If you missed the event, there will be lots of opportunities to give us feedback about the development in the future.
This strategy is only the start – and involves housing in relation to our Community Development Plan. We are looking forward to also working with other community groups, including the Hynish Trust, to create a shared action plan which addresses the island’s short, medium and long term housing issues.
