It’s Challenge Poverty Week.
Here at the Trust we are trying to #Challenge Poverty in Tiree in a number of ways.
The Trust’s link with Argyll & Bute Citizen’s Advice Bureau allows all residents to access a face-to-face meeting with a trained advisor to discuss a variety of financial and other common issues. For example, we can check that you are receiving all of the benefits you are entitled to, and we can check your eligibility for pension credit.
Our Community Support Officer can also signpost island residents to the most appropriate assistance for their individual needs, whether through an existing organisation in Tiree, or by tapping into connections made with other specialist organisations.
