Skills Development Scotland Individual Training Accounts

The Scottish Government have announced that the Individual Training Account (ITA) scheme will reopen for applications on the 1st July 2020.

ITAs are designed to help individuals build the skills they need for a job, or to get training to help take their career to the next level.

Individuals who are unemployed or earn £22,000 or under, including furloughed workers, can access training in a number of curriculum areas to improve prospects of gaining employment or progressing in employment.

Successful applicants can receive up to £200 towards the cost of a training course with an ITA.

Up to 14,000 ITA applications will be accepted in this phase. The scheme will be placed on hold when this target is met or by 31 October, whichever comes first.
