Advice for people planning to travel to Tiree

As of the 15th of July, Scotland is in Phase 3 of the planned route out of lockdown.

This means that we are once again able to welcome visitors. We are delighted to be able to do that! We also want to highlight a few things that you might find useful as you plan your break.

Travel

Ferry capacity is greatly reduced. Before finalising holiday accomodcation, we would recommend that you ensure you have a place on the ferry.

Calmac is now operating a 4 week rolling booking system – allowing you to book outbound and return tickets within a month of each other. Tickets cannot be booked for more than 4 weeks in advance. You can find all the latest information on the Calmac website.

Acommodation

A list of self-catering accommodation options is available at isleoftiree.com. Whilst many self-catering properties are taking bookings, some are not. This may be because people are shielding or protecting family members.

Activities

The majority of island businesses are operating as normal, but will be practicing social distancing as per government guidelines. We do recommend that you contact the businesses directly, or check their facebook pages for the latest information!

We look forward to welcoming you and thank you in advance for keeping our community safe by continuing to follow government guidance even whilst on holiday!
