DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: 9am on the Monday 22nd of September 2025 – applications should be emailed to shari@tireetrust.org.uk
This is a new role, part-funded by a recent 3-year grant from Bòrd na Gàidhlig, to provide added capacity and support to our busy and successful Youth Activities Programme with a specific focus on integrating the use of Gaelic within the programme.
The role will primarily work with our Youth Activities Coordinator, supporting ongoing regular and one-off clubs, sessions and events for young people in Tiree. There will also be an element of support work with our wider Gaelic development project work, helping other Trust staff to make more use of Gaelic in everyday activities.
Due to the nature of the role and its requirements, we are advertising the role with the average weekly hours being “subject to negotiation” with appointable candidates – a key requirement will be the ability to support the regular activities which primarily take place on week day evenings, after school, or on weekends. On-the-job training in supporting young people taking part in activities will be provided as needed.
Due to the nature of the work, and to satify legal obligations, the role will be subject to satisfactory completion of a registration with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG scheme) in relation to this employment.
Please contact the Trust Office if you have questions or wish to discuss possible options before applying.
