Update From Tiree Medical Practice 8th May 2020

Tiree Medical Practice 8th May 2020

Thanks to all for trying as much as possible to stick to the government guidelines on the current  COVID 19 lockdown. We wanted to let you know that there has been recent modelling to suggest that there may be a peak in COVID 19 in Scotland in 2 weeks time. We think we are behind the curve in comparison to south of the border. While we appreciate the current guidelines are very restrictive please stick to the advice recommended by the Scottish Government and stay at home, make only essential journeys for food, health and exercise. We have been so delighted with the outcome of all your efforts so far and this has kept Coronavirus to a minimum on Tiree but we think we are still at risk and should adhere to the guidelines as much as possible. We were sorry to hear about the outbreak in the Skye care home and it was an example of how easily small communities can be hit.
We also wanted to remind everyone to get in touch if you are feeling unwell. We are not too busy and will try to deal with your  problem with as little face to face contact as possible, either by telephone or using  ‘Near Me’ our video consultation application.

Thanks again for all your patience and support
