Tha sinn air leth toilichte innse gu bheil sinn air maoineachadh fhaighinn airson trì bliadhna gus taic a thoirt don obair Leasachaidh Ghàidhlig againn!
We’re thrilled to announce that we have been given three years of funding towards our Gaelic Development work!
Bidh Rhoda Meek a’ leantainn oirre leis an obair seo, ann an com-pàirteachas le buidhnean ionadail eile. Leis a’ mhaoineachadh seo, bidh e comasach dhuinn cuideigin a fastadh mar Neach-taic Ghàidhlig pàirt-ùine, agus le maoineachadh trì-bliadhna, thèid againn air planaichean seasmhachd a dhèanamh!
Rhoda Meek will be continuing the development work, in partnership with other local organisations. The funding will allow us to employ a part-time Gaelic support assistant, and the three-year commitment means that we can plan ahead!
’S e prògram nàiseanta a th’ anns an t-Sgeama Oifigearan Gàidhlig, air a ruith le Bòrd na Gàidhlig, gus taic a thoirt do chleachdadh na Gàidhlig ann an coimhearsnachdan air feadh na h-Alba. Tha e a’ toirt seachad maoineachadh do bhuidhnean coimhearsnachd mar sinne, airson Oifigearan Leasachaidh Gàidhlig fhastadh airson trì bliadhna. Bidh an t-airgead a’ cuideachadh le tuarastal agus tachartasan a bhrosnaicheas cleachdadh làitheil na Gàidhlig – leithid tachartasan, cothroman ionnsachaidh, agus taic do theaghlaichean, buidhnean is seirbheisean ionadail. Tha an sgeama airson Gàidhlig a dhèanamh nas fhaicsinniche agus nas cumanta nar beatha làitheil, agus brosnaicheas e co-obrachadh gus neart a thoirt don chànan.
The funding is part of the Gaelic Development Officers Scheme. It is a national programme run by Bòrd na Gàidhlig to support the use of Gaelic in communities across Scotland. It provides funding for community organisations like ours to employ Gaelic Development Officers over a three-year period. The funding helps cover wages and activities that encourage everyday Gaelic use – such as events, learning opportunities, and support for families, groups and local services. The scheme aims to make Gaelic a more visible and normal part of community life, and encourages groups to work together to strengthen the language.
