Help Us Improve Tiree’s Homes – Free EPCs Available!

We need your help! Are you a Tiree resident who:

🏡 Would describe your home as poorly insulated?

💷 Spends more than 10% of your income on energy bills, and finds it a challenge to pay for food and other living essentials on your remaining income?

If so, we want to hear from you! Thanks to support from Argyll & Bute Council’s Supporting Communities Fund, we’re offering free Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) to 30 eligible residents

An EPC gives you a detailed report on your home’s energy efficiency and provides tailored recommendations to make it warmer and cheaper to heat.

By getting an EPC, you’ll not only help us understand the state of housing on Tiree – you’ll also gain valuable insights into ways you could reduce your bills and improve your comfort.

We have limited spaces for free EPCs, so don’t miss your chance! To see if you qualify, get in touch with us today using the form below.

Even if you’re not eligible for a free EPC, we encourage everyone to contact Home Energy Scotland for a free Home Energy Check. They can offer advice on how to improve your home’s insulation and energy efficiency, as well as information on any grants or support available to help lower your energy bills. Visit homeenergyscotland.org.uk or call 0808 808 2282 to learn more.

Please enter the details for the property requiring the EPC.
If you think it would helpful, please provide either a What3Words reference or additional directions as to where your property is located.
Examples of when we would typically consider a property as “poorly insulated” would be if it is difficult to keep warm during winter, has higher-than-expected energy bills for its size, experiences significant issues with condensation, and/or has single-glazed windows.
We also are keen to hear from people who do not spend more than 10% of their income on energy bills, but only because their home is not heated to 21 degrees in the living area and 18 degrees in any other room.
Please briefly describe any property features that are particularly unusual (if any). e.g. renewables, listed building status, or unusual construction.
