I’ve got fibre, now what?

An increasing number of people are now connected to the new fibre broadband.

If you are getting fibre broadband and are currently a Tiree Broadband customer, here are the steps to cancel.

  1. Make sure your new fibre is installed and working
  2. Switch your Tiree Broadband kit off at the wall and disconnect the equipment inside your house.
  3. Post-d: broadband@tireetrust.org.uk and let us know you want to cancel.
  4. We will be in touch later to organise removing your Tiree Broadband dish from your house.
  5. Cancel your Tiree Broadband (Go Cardless) direct debit payment with your bank.

Please note as soon as you email us, we will switch off your service, so make sure that your fibre is fully installed and working before letting us know you want to cancel.

Under NO circumstances should your Tiree Broadband modem be plugged into anything if your fibre is working. It makes our network cry.

Just a reminder to those who haven’t got fibre yet. Openreach currently have a team in Tiree with the sole aim of fulfilling new fibre orders. Tiree Broadband will be closing once fibre is available across the island so it’s important to place your fibre order as soon as you can. See https://www.tireetrust.org.uk/en/tiree-broadband-will-be-closing/ for more details.
