The Tiree Community Development Trust (The Trust) was formed in March 2006 and is owned, and managed by Tiree’s community. It represents a community led approach to rural development promoting the sustainable, environmental, economic and social development of Tiree.
Its main activities are:
- The sustainable regeneration of Tiree’s community;
- Strategic planning and development through community engagement and consultation;
- Local project delivery;
- Partnership working and relevant agencies and organisations;
- Sharing best practice and experience with other similar groups and organisations; and
- Local capacity and skill development.
The Trust is governed by a board of nine Directors, resident to the Isle of Tiree. The Directors are elected annually by The Trust members. The Trust employs four staff; the Trust Development Manager, the HIE/Leader funded Local Development Officer, Youth Worker and a Finance and Governance Officer. |

Office Administrator
20 hours per week
A part-time Administrator is required, for an initial period of 6 months, to provide administrative support for the Trust Team and Voluntary Board of Directors, with whom they will work closely.
Salary will be £15,470 per annum pro rata dependent on skills and experience.

Ironside Farrar (on behalf of the Steering Group chaired by Argyll and Bute Council) held their third drop in consultation event at An Talla, Tiree, on the 29th and 30th November 2011. The event was intended to provide further understanding of each of the four potential Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Scenarios advised by the developer and to consider in more detail the potential implications for Tiree.

As of 1st December The Trust will be moving accross to take up the tenancy on the two offices at Tiree Rural Centre. Local Development Officer Lynne MacKinnon and Youth Worker Sophie Isaacson have already moved and are in Room 1. Development Manager Anne Kirby and Finance and Governance Officer Andy Wright will be in Room 2.

Cùram Thiriodh was set up after a public meeting in An Talla at
the start of 2011. You wanted us to do what we could to stop the
Tiree Eventide Home being privatised. You also wanted us to
make a start planning the next generation of services for islanders
needing care on Tiree and Coll. |

Tiree Array Onshore Scenario Mapping Project, Consultation Event 3 - Tuesday 29th November 11am-8pm and Wednesday 30th November 10am-7pm @ An Talla.
