The annual general meetings of Tiree Community Development Trust, Community Information Technology Ltd (Tiree Broadband) and Tiree Renewable Energy Ltd (TREL) all took place on Sunday the 24th of April. There was an excellent turnout at the event, with over 40 Trust members in attendance – the tea, coffee and homebaking went down very well!

The event started with the AGM of TREL which was led by the chairperson Bruce Kemp, Tiree Broadband followed which was led by director Colin Woodcock and finally the AGM of Tiree Trust, led by Chairperson William Angus MacLean.  Each chair gave a short update on all current activity and summarised the activity and achievements from the last 12 months.

This year we decided to bring the AGM forward to April rather than September, as it suits better with the financial year and is easier to report back on the previous year’s activity. We think this worked much better and we will now hold our annual Community Open Day in September.

We are very grateful to all who came out to the event and we hope you found it interesting and informative. We encourage anyone who is interested to get involved in Trust activity whether as a board member or a volunteer on a steering group. The chairpersons report can be downladed by clicking the following link: TCDT Annual Review 2015 Final. It is a fairly lengthy read, but will give a full overview of the Trust’s activities over 2015.

As always we like to keep the community as up to date as possible with all news and information, you can visit our social media pages by clicking on the links throughout this website or just stop by the office for a chat! – New members are always welcome, so if you aren’t already a member of Tiree Trust, please get in touch with a member of Trust staff by calling 220 074 or emailing admin@tireetrust.org.uk
