This is a question only the community together can answer.
In recent years the island has had the advantage of two main food retailers – each providing a distinct but complementary service in two different locations.
Key questions to ask ourselves when making the decision:
- What would the community lose if we relied only on the Co-operative store?
- What would the community gain, if anything, should we decide to go-ahead with the acquisition?
Around mid-March every Tiree household will receive a booklet which will provide you with enough information to start you thinking about whether the island would benefit from a community shop.
It’s over to you…
