Windfall Fund Awards – 2019 | January – December

Detailed below are successful applicants:
- Cùram Thiriodh received £1,311 from the Community Support fund towards a trip to the mainland for the Resource Club clients.
- An Iodhlann received £500 from the Community Support fund towards their project ‘Baca nam Putan’ – to bring a team of archaeologists to do a preliminary survey of the site and to dig a small trench to find out how much Viking material there is located at the site.
- Tiree Community Development Trust (Gaelic Development Project)/ Comann nam Pàrant received £257 from the SET fund towards the cost of a Gaelic ski trip.
- Ishbel Campbell (on behalf of Emily Armstrong & Ruth MacIntosh) received £372 from the SET Fund towards the costs of travel to the mainland to complete Piano Grade 4 exam.
- Tiree Community Maritime Assets Ltd received £2,415 from the Investment Fund to cover a project short fall for the Scarinish harbour refurbishment works.
- Tiree Rural Development/Tiree Agricultural Society received £3,000 from the Support Fund towards the cost of hiring marquees/tents for Show Day 2019.
- Tiree Rural Development received £750 from the Support Fund towards the costs of installing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at Tiree Rural Centre. (withdrawn – this award was not claimed).
- Tiree Maritime Trust received £2,846 from the Support Fund towards the costs of purchasing a trailer to allow their Skiff to be moved, and other safety equipment.
- Tiree Agricultural Society received £2,690 from the Support Fund towards the cost of the 2019 Show Day main attraction.
- Tiree Music Festival received £3,000 from the Support Fund towards the cost of Tiree Music Festival 2019.
- Screen Tiree received £1,150 from the Support Fund towards the cost of purchase and fitting of black out blinds at An Talla to allow for film showings.
- Tiree High School received £1,366 from the Support Fund towards the cost of school trips for pupils to France, Glasgow, Belfast & Oban.
- Fèis Thiriodh received £2,420 from the Support Fund towards the cost of running Fèis Thiriodh 2019 event. (withdrawn – this award was not claimed).
- Tiree Art Enterprises received £8,488 from the Investment Fund towards the cost of renovations at An Turas.
- Tiree Community Development Trust (Gaelic Development Project)/Tiree Primary School received £952 from the SET Fund towards the cost of travel for School Choir to attend local Mull Mod.
- Screen Argyll received £1,115 from the Support Fund towards the cost of running a film festival – Sea Change.
- Tiree High School received £814 from the SET Fund towards the cost of travel to Oban for senior pupils to attend the Oban High School ‘Jingles’ Christmas party.
- James McDowall/Mathew McDowall received £276 from the SET fund towards the cost of travel to the mainland to attend a Piano Grade 1 exam.
- Tiree High School received £1,246 from the SET fund towards the cost of sending pupils to a football training experience in Manchester.
- Ishbel Campbell received £147 from the SET fund towards the cost of travel to the mainland to attend a Piano exam.
- Tiree Community Council received £400 from the Support Fund towards the cost of obtaining the grant of ensigns armorial for the Tiree flag.
- Screen Argyll received £2,020 from the Support Fund towards the cost of producing promotional Tiree films.
- An Iodhlann received £900 from the Support Fund towards their project Tìr Ìseal nan Òran: The Low Land of Song – a project to create a series of events that allows members of the Tiree community to take stories from the Inveraray archives and tell them again on the island.
- Screen Tiree received £600 from the Support Fund towards running Magic Musicals workshops and film shows.
- Derek Campbell received £139 from the SET Fund towards the cost of travelling to the mainland to complete an exam.
- Tiree Community Martime Assets Ltd received £232,931 from the Investment Fund towards the cost of upgrading and repairing Milton harbour.
