As some of you will have noticed, Tilley has not been turning now for a few weeks. On the 20th December there seems to have been a fault, likely to have been caused in some way by the storms. Enercon, the turbine manufacturer, finally managed to send a maintenance team over to Tiree on Monday 13th January only to find that they didn’t have the necessary parts to fix it (A pole shoe on the generator, if that means anything to you!!). The part has been placed on urgent order and Enercon have assured us they will send the maintenance team back to Tiree as soon as the part arrives.
