Enercon wind turbine engineers from the mainland are currently on the island to carry out essential repairs to a generator fault on Tilley, the community turbine, which could take approximately 3 weeks.
TREL has been in contact with Scottish Government to confirm that travel for this reason is allowed under current guidance and the engineers have been made fully aware of the local guidelines and etiquette for using public services and shopping on Tiree and will be practicing social distancing throughout their stay.
