The Trust has issued a joint statement on the proposed “Highly Protected Marine Areas” (also often referred to as “no-take” zones) legislation which has set a target of 10% of Scottish sea area to be given the new designation. Consultation on the proposed legislation is currently ongoing until April 17th.
