Like many other communities around the world, Tiree has already been affected socially and economically by the effects of the COVID –19 lockdown.
To help us assess the local impacts and to allow the Trust to plan further community response we have appointed Alison Clark, a local resident from Mannal, to lead the initiative.
Alison may well be known to many of you already, she is a Tiree Community Councillor and is an committee member of Discover Tiree. She and her husband David also run Mannal Guest House.
In the first instance Alison will liaise with local and government agencies to ensure a good understanding of the support measures that are on offer to businesses, individuals and community groups. An information portal will then be formed on the Tiree Community Development Trust web site which will be the ‘go to’ portal for all those requiring information about the financial support on offer from the government and other sources.
