Update from Dr Heather James.
“Today went very well after a very wet start!
We have been doing some geophysical survey of the vicinity of the cist with mixed results so far. The data needs some processing before we can show you.
We then started deturfing the site of the cist and have exposed the whole stone. It is a lot larger than we thought and is probably a cap stone lying over the cist.
The weather is good for tomorrow and so we shall be on site at 9.15.
