Currently we own 8 community assets including; a wind turbine, 2 harbours, a shop, an electric minibus, an art installation, 4 business units and a fuel station. As well as owning and running those, we have a broad range of ongoing projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tiree Ranger Service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our Ranger manages the Croft Camping scheme, runs wildlife walks and helps make sure that our natural environment is protected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cruas Project<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Cruas Project is an umbrella under which we run initiatives to tackle the cost-of-living crisis in Tiree.\u00a0Our team values discretion and confidentiality. As a result, our work is not always obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moit is Misneachd<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Housing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We are actively working to improve the housing situation in Tiree for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Energy Projects<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We can now offer EPCs to people who own property in Tiree. We are also doing work to understand the energy needs of residents – particularly in relation to insulation and energy efficiency so that we can better support people to save money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crofting Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our Climate Adaptation work involved consultation with our Crofting community. From that, we are developing support packages aimed at making it easier for Crofters to access CAGS funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Childcare<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The lack of childcare is a serious issue in Tiree. We have a Childcare Working Group who are helping our Development Officers learn more and find solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Archaeology Walks<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

These guided walks explore some of the island’s most significant early sites \u2014 from ancient chapels to Iron Age forts. All are welcome, no prior knowledge needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
