If you live in the Peir View or Crossapol areas of Tiree you can now order Fibre Optic Broadband (or Fibre To The Cabinet/FTTC) services from a commercial provider following the recent upgrades by HIE/BT. There are a number of providers who can offer this service so it may be worth shopping around.
Customers connected to cabinets 2 (Crossapol) and 3 (Peir View) may be able to order this service immediately and you can check by entering your landline number in the following link – https://www.scotlandsuperfast.com/ . Cabinet 1 (Kenovay) is not yet live but should be in the not too distant future.
Tiree Broadband will also be seeking to take advantage of this by moving it’s backhaul to The Buisness Centre in Crossapol (currently in Scarinish) which we hope will allow us to offer a more stable connection to all of our customers, particularly in the busy summer period.
