Energy Island: Coming to Tiree this Saturday

Are you 8-13 y.o.? Did you come to the HackIT workshop last February? Did you enjoy building the energy detectors? Or did you miss it all but dying to find out more? Great news, the onSupply team are back!

Join us on Saturday 22nd March 10.30 – 15.00 pm for a day-trip to a familiar and yet to be discovered energy-point on Tiree! It is your chance to use the detectors, measure wind and solar power and get to see familiar places with different eyes.

Meet at the rural centre at 10.30 for a 10.45 start. We will travel to the secret location.  After we will return to the Rural Centre for lunch and then upload our notes and measurements onto The Energy Island. All material and lunch will be provided.

You are also invited to the first – ever!- screening preview of the onSupply documentary showing how  the detectors were built during the HackIT workshops on Tiree last February. The screening will start at 15.30 with a brief introduction from the team.

This event is free of charge and brought you by onSupply Team; OnSupply is a research partnership between Lancaster University and Tiree Trust, looking into Tiree energy use, production and supply.
