Self-isolation MUST be carried out by ALL MEMBERS of the household until a negative test result is obtained.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>If you have symptoms please contact the surgery to arrange a PCR test. A Lateral flow test <strong>(At home testing kit)<\/strong><\/u><\/strong> <strong><u>is not sufficient when symptoms are present.\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Self-isolate immediately if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You have any&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/conditions\/coronavirus-covid-19\/symptoms\/main-symptoms\/\">symptoms of COVID-19<\/a>&nbsp;(a high temperature, a new, continuous cough or a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste)<\/li><li>You&#8217;ve tested positive for COVID-19 \u2013 this means you have the virus<\/li><li>Someone you live with has symptoms or tested positive<\/li><li>Someone in your childcare or support bubble has symptoms and you\u2019ve been in close contact with them since their symptoms started or during the 48 hours before they started<\/li><li>Someone in your childcare or support bubble tested positive and you\u2019ve been in close contact with them since they had the test or in the 48 hours before their test<\/li><li>You&#8217;ve been told you&#8217;ve been in contact with someone who tested positive \u2013&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/conditions\/coronavirus-covid-19\/self-isolation-and-treatment\/if-youre-told-to-self-isolate-by-nhs-test-and-trace-or-the-covid-19-app\/\">find out what to do if you&#8217;re told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace or the NHS COVID-19 app<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Self-isolation is when you do not leave your home because&nbsp;<u>you<\/u>&nbsp;or someone&nbsp;<u>in your household<\/u>&nbsp;have or might have COVID-19.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>This helps stop the virus spreading to other people.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is a legal requirement for you to self-isolate if you are told by NHS Test and Trace. You could be fined if you do not self \u2013 isolate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>How to self-isolate<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must not leave your home if you&#8217;re self-isolating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Do not go to work, school or public places \u2013 work from home if you can<\/li><li>Do not go on public transport or use taxis<\/li><li>Do not go out to get food and medicine \u2013 order it online or by phone, or ask someone to bring it to your home<\/li><li>Do not have visitors in your home, including friends and family \u2013 except for people providing essential care<\/li><li>Do not go out to exercise \u2013 exercise at home or in your garden, if you have one<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>When to get a test<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Get a PCR test (test that is sent to a lab) as soon as possible if you have any symptoms of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The symptoms are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A high temperature<\/li><li>A new, continuous cough<\/li><li>A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The test needs to be done in the first 8 days of having symptoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tiree Medical Practice&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the increase of cases in the Argyll and Bute Area, we would like to remind people that they&nbsp;must self &#8211; isolate if symptoms appear.
