Community Information Technology Ltd, trading as ‘Tiree Broadband’ is a not for profit company established to provide broadband access to the people of Tiree. The company owns and operates a commercial quality wireless network linked to a multi-feed ADSL backhaul. The wireless network allows Tiree Broadband to reach areas of the island outwith the reach of conventional broadband. CIT Ltd is a company limited by shares with 100% of the shares owned by Tiree Community Development Trust.
Tiree Broadband currently has over 100 private and business customers on the island offering a 10mb/s download speed.
