This year the weather stayed in our favour, and the third consecutive Community Bonfire and Fireworks display went ahead on the planned date! Around 130 people made their way down to Crossapol Beach where the bonfire, kindly built by local group, Tiree Young Farmers, was taking place! Perched on top of the bonfire was our farmer Guy who was put together by the Tiree Beavers Club!
The event was attended by all ages of the community! Burgers and soup were excellently prepared and served by An Talla committee and various baking was on offer, which was kindly donated by members of the community. Throughout the evening, we were entertained with music from resident DJs, Andy and Bino.
Once the evening was in full flow, we were then treated to an excellent fireworks display, which was organised by Jim! Despite the wind getting up a little the fireworks were still very impressive and we hope you all enjoyed them.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the event and especially to all those who donated home baking and raffle prizes. Special thanks go to An Talla Committee, Tiree Young Farmers, Andy and Bino, Tiree Beavers, Jim Michie and Andy Phillips.
